ATTORNEY PROFILES - OF COUNSEL

Anthony M. Collura was born in Bronx, New York in 1960 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1986. Prior to founding the firm of McManus, Collura & Richter, P.C., Mr. Collura was a founding and managing partner of Silverman, Collura, Chernis & Balzano, P.C., a New York City based firm which commenced operations in 1989. That firm practices in the areas of insurance defense, corporate litigation, securities law and general corporate and commercial matters. In 1996 Mr. Collura established a professional liability defense department at such firm, whose clients have included Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, CNA Insurance Company, Kemper Insurance Company, Reliance Insurance Company, Scottsdale Insurance Company, and Zurich Insurance Company. Mr. Collura has served as private counsel to the Chairman of the New York State Senate Insurance Committee. Mr. Collura is a member of the New York State and American Bar Associations. Mr. Collura received a Juris Doctor Degree from New York University Law School in 1985. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from New York University College of Business and Public Administration in 1982.

Peter D. Suglia was born in Reading, Pennsylvania in 1969 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1996 and the Florida State Bar in 2002. Mr. Suglia was admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in 2000 and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 2002. He served as an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County, Brooklyn, New York from 1996-1999. Upon entering private practice, Mr. Suglia was an associate for Conway, Farrell, Curtin & Kelly, P.C., where he defended professional liability matters. Thereafter, he was invited to be an associate with McManus, Collura & Richter, P.C. upon its founding and where he continued his defense of professional liability matters. In 2002, Mr. Suglia relocated to Florida where he was associated with the firm of Conroy, Simberg, Ganon, Krevans & Abel, P.A., and defended liability actions against individuals and corporations, provided coverage opinions and defended insurance carriers in declaratory actions and bad faith suits. Mr. Suglia thereafter maintained his own practice in Celebration, Florida, where he concentrated on commercial transactions and commercial litigation. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1992 and his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 1995. Mr. Suglia is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association.

Christopher D. Skoczen was born in Syracuse, New York in 1965. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2000. Mr. Skoczen is admitted to practice law before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Prior to his association with McManus, Collura & Richter, P.C., Mr. Skoczen was an associate at Clauss & Sabatini. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from New York University in 1989 and received a Juris Doctor Degree from Fordham University School of Law in 1999.
